My Mission
As children move up through the grades, pressure builds, coursework and studying demands increase, and supporting students’ academic endeavors with essential learning strategies becomes even more crucial but is too often overlooked. That’s where I come in.
My books, articles, and blog posts are all designed to provide students with the tools they need for academic success, while supporting the efforts of their parents and teachers, too, and also keeping readers up-to-date on the changing face of American education. All are written with a desire to help fill those needs by providing expert advice, resources, and proven learning strategies.
As a champion for the education of today’s children, I’m not just a teacher but a parent, too, one who is passionate about helping those in the trenches with me, so to speak, discover how to motivate and support children, as they strive for academic success and meet the challenges of today’s learning environment.
Speaking
Her guidebooks were written with a desire to provide, to supply educators and parents with effective tools and improved techniques. We are faced with many challenges in today’s learning environment, but Carol’s fervor will renew your faith in education. She views each challenge, not as a stumbling block, but as a new opportunity for learning.
As a speaker, Carol shares the lessons she has learned from her students, from her colleagues and the parents she meets daily. She is a gatherer of information – she offers an exciting message, backed by her B.A. degree in English, M.Ed degree in reading, and principal certification.
That background has served her well in both the classroom and her many presentations at such conferences as those held by the National Middle School Association (AMLE), the International Reading Association, Association for Supervision & Curriculum Development, and the Pennsylvania School Counselor Association.
